Winter 2012 Week 2 (October 9th)

Second week of winter. No abnormal deliveries this week — everyone is on standard schedule. The first hard frost of the year nipped several of the warm weather crops last night. David tried not to include any items that had been frozen, but be a little diligent about soft spots on the peppers, tomatoes, and melons. Cut them off and eat them early in the week, and everything else should last pretty well.

This week’s share:
corn
beets
baby turnips
baby carrots
kohlrabi
green bell pepper
mirasol pepper
Chinese eggplant
Ros Bianca eggplant
black beauty eggplant
tomatoes
golden delicious apples
casaba melon

MEAT: beef roast
