Summer 2013 Week 9 (August 13th)

Summer produce continues! We have two weeks left in our summer season before we switch to the “fall” shares. Please sign up for fall now so we can keep planning for deliveries. Meat will start again, and the fruit and summer veggies (eggplants, peppers, tomatoes) keep going strong in September and October. If you have been successfully finishing off the small shares, now would be the time I would switch to a medium or large. Everyone gets a little of the fruit and summer veg, but the mediums and larges get enough to make freezer jams, chutneys, pasta sauce, pickles, pies, and all sorts of delightful treats.
