Summer 2013 Week 11 (August 27th)

Last week of the summer shares.  Next week we start the fall shares, with tomatoes, apples, winter squash, onions, potatoes, parsnips, turnips, melons, beets, turnips, cabbage, mustard, kale, bok choy, broccoli raab, spinach, arugula, salad greens, Chinese celery, brussel sprouts, kohlrabi, corn, peppers, eggplants, peaches, cucumbers, pears, prunes, summer squash, chard, nectarines, berries… all things good! Sign up here.

Your peaches this week might be a little bruised. A hail storm hit the orchard hard over the weekend, and the trees are pretty beat up. The greener fruit will be fine but ugly. The riper stuff needs to be picked right now. David is inviting members to the farm anytime before noon Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week.
