Fall 2013 Week 5 (Oct 1st)

The shares filled out a bit today. The farm is recovering from the hail storm (weather throws things for a loop for weeks). The baby turnips and black radish are great sliced with some sharp cheddar. The candy stripe beets make a beautiful topping for salads. For the greens: curly is the frisee (can be salad or cooked), bitter is the turnip greens (need a splash of vinegar to cut the bitter), sweeter is the chard (treat like spinach).
