Winter 2013 Week 2 (Dec 10th)

Small share this week. Coupled with the confusion of my not passing on a “welcome” email at the start of this season, we’re a little off kilter. David was at his off-farm job until 3:00 last night (small winter membership means he has to work harder off farm), and with the ground this frozen, harvesting was pretty hard this morning. It fluctuates week to week, though, and as the sun comes out a bit here and there, expect heavier boxes. It looks like he doubled up on a couple things to make up for it.

This week we received:

frozen apricots
banana squash
bok choy
rutabaga
beets (look like chioggia or candy stripe)
radish (looks like a watermelon radish – sweet pink flesh on the inside)
daikon (Japanese radish)

Meat was a roast, I think.
