Winter 2013 Week 5 (Jan 2nd)

David seems to be on the mend. Thanks everyone for rolling with the punches this week. A little new variety to spice things up. I fully recommend throwing those frozen raspberries into pancake batter. The pea shoots and bean sprouts would make a lovely fast stir fry with some pork or tofu. The winter squash has a thick skin but good flesh — either chop the skin off and make a soup, or roast it to get at the sweet stuff more easily.

Onions
Frozen raspberries
Baby spinach
Mixed baby greens
Winter squash quarter (looks like a Hubbard squash relative)
Bean sprouts
Pea shoots
Blue kale
1/2 cabbage

Meat: ground beef
