Summer 2014 Week 5

Hello everyone, and thank you for hanging in through the realities of small farming. David, in trying to move to an off-farm job that would give him a schedule better for being an actual farmer, has for the last three weeks been working two full-time jobs in addition to getting us our produce. That is all done now, but you might have noticed he wasn’t at the market this past Saturday. He was just exhausted and had to rest. Apologies from the farm staff for any lapse in quality or variety the last few weeks, but he’s now all set to have more time to focus on farming.

This week was a slightly irregular in the variety, but not the volumes. For example, sometimes the medium received extra baby spinach, sometimes extra mixed greens. So rest assured you received the right number of items for your share size, and know that it was picked from something in the following pictures. Next week should be standardized again.
