The summer squash is coming on — the dual-tone zephyrs are quite jaunty, but the thicker skinned patty pans are also fun to look at. More fruit – peaches and plums. The donut peaches are still a little green (ripen on the counter and share with a child – they break easily in half and they are beyond delighted with the shape and size), but the other fruit is fairly ripe so pick through it when you get it for any bruises (this is tree ripe fruit, the kind that doesn’t ship well). And agretti! This salty little succulent is excellent in salads, and it definitely isn’t something you’d see in the grocery store. Look here for more direct info.
