The first day of school. Good grief. Here’s the post, finally.
The peaches and nectarines: I went through all of mine, found the bruised ones, and cut them up immediately to put on cottage cheese the next couple days. I will repeat this every couple days this week until they’re gone or I’ve eaten them all whole. I did the same with a bruised lemon cuke while taking pictures. With cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce all in one week, I won’t need to tell you to make salads. I have a backlog of summer squash, and I eat that as a side a couple times a week — I’ll work on some more suggestions.
red Russian kale
sweet bell pepper
gypsy pepper (light green, sweet)
big Jim pepper (mildly hot – like Anaheim or banana)
patty pan squash
Canadian Harmony peaches (big fellas)
micro celery greens
leeks (I didn’t get any, but I had an Egyptian beet? I might have misheard)
tomatoes (look like grape or small roma variety)
extra cucumbers (some lemon, some Armenian)
extra green beans
