Summer 2014 Week 16 (Sept 23rd)

Last week of the summer shares everyone.  Thank you for handling the rain delay without any complaints.  I can’t guarantee you all didn’t get something slightly different than myself (like I said last week, when the packing table is one or two short on things, I don’t get them).  Also, David didn’t give me an official list yet this week.  But for identification purposes, here is what came in my box.

The Asian pears (I know them as nashi) look like camoflauged apples, and they are a little underripe.  They will never get as soft as the pears you are used to, but most of these should go in a paper bag on your countertop for a couple days to soften up.

You can guarantee I picked up some mozzarella on the way home for the basil and tomatoes (lucky are the Granato’s drop sites this time of year).  Also, there was a melon that didn’t make it past dinner, so it wasn’t included in the pics.
