Summer 2015 Week 7 (July 28th)

Some crops are going crazy. Chard, turnips, kale, and soon summer squash, are all coming on later than expected but in full force.

Tonight I tossed chard and baby squash in with some Clifford Farms bacon (visit her at the Farmer’s Market), then served that over thin (somen) noodles. Last night was broccoli tossed with soba noodles and an oddball dressing (peanut butter, soy sauce, and ketchup were the three main ingredients). It has been a week of “anything fast and satisfying”, but it has been good to have fresh veggies to put with not-too-hot pasta dishes.
