Summer 2016 Week 15 (Sept 20)


Small: Miniature Romain, butter romain, cantaloupe, honey dew, spinach and/or lettuce mix, heirloom and San Marzano tomatoes, collard greens, patty pan squash, japanese cucumber, lemon cucumber, summer squash, carrots, Japanese eggplant, peppers (jalapeno, poblano, serrano)


Medium add: Flowering kale, lacinto kale, purple and yellow wax beans, swiss chard, purple kale, broccolini, and Asian broccoli.

Another colorful box this week. Try wrapping the pattypan squashes in foil and baking like a potato. Do eat the spinach and melons right away. I had a smoothie this morning with spinach and the very ripe cantaloupe. It’s still nice and hot outside, I think I’ll make gazpacho this week.
